Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour Heading to Los Angeles in 2024

The Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour tournament has been announced for Jan. 27 and 28 in 2024 and will be held in the Los Angeles Convention Center.

The massive gaming tournament, based around various competitive games in the Dragon Ball franchise, is making its return according to an announcement on X. The location will be the iconic Los Angeles Convention Center, one of the largest convention centers on the planet, emphasizing the scale of the event. Registration has already opened on Eventbrite, and there are special bonuses for those who register before Jan. 25. The event is being organized by video game publisher Bandai Namco, a frequent collaborator with the Dragon Ball franchise. The event overview, stage event schedule and venues map have yet to be added to the website, so more info is still to come.

What Is the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour?

The Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour is an annual tournament based around video games of the eponymous anime. The main games featured this year will be Dragon Ball Fighter Z, Dragon Ball the TCG, Dragon Ball Legends and Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle. As this is an esports event, there will be participating teams and a massive online audience watching.

Ever since the Dragon Ball franchise began, Goku and his friends have starred in over 40 games, selling 40 million copies in total. The most successful example is the mobile game Dragon Ball: Dokkan Battle, which has 350 million total users and has grossed three billion dollars to date.
