Among Us Challenges Fans to Spot the Upcoming Indie Game Collaborations

The viral space-faring indie game Among Us has revealed a slew of mysterious indie game collaborations with a series of silhouetted character icons, challenging fans to figure out who they are.

The game’s official account on X (formerly Twitter) shared an image on the platform featuring the crewmate from Among Us posing in front of a variety of silhouetted portraits of characters from other popular indie games. It also included a caption alluding to how “cool” it would be if the indie games shown in the image “did stuff together,” clearly hinting at future collaborations with fellow indie game titles.

This has drawn plenty of attention from fans, who have begun to piece together clues to figure out who some of the characters in the image may be, and while the developers have yet to confirm anything, fans have been quick to guess them all based on the characters’ outlines. One fan managed to determine that two of the games shown were likely A Hat in Time and Celeste, while Toby Fox, the creator and lead developer of RPGUndertale, responded with a joke about Among Us‘ own crewmate character being included in the center.

Indie game collaborations are common fare within the community as smaller developers look for ways to maintain public interest in their titles through cross-promotional campaigns and even full-on crossovers. Among Us has itself crossed over with other games as well — most notably in Fortnite, where the developers released official cosmetic items modeled after the game’s crewmate characters. Other indie titles have made their way to larger games as well, such as Undertale, whose characters saw similar cosmetic items appear in Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.

As of now, InnerSloth, the developer team of Among Us, has not revealed any details about what these potential collaborations may look like or when they may appear, and although its social media accounts are active in responding to fan questions, it typically doesn’t provide straight answers. For now, fans will simply have to wait to see when these collaborations appear.

In the meantime, Among Us enjoys continued popularity on all platforms, with thousands of active players fighting to avoid getting ejected from a spaceship full of impostors. The game is free to play with advertisements on mobile devices or costs $4.99 for the base version across all platforms.
