Elden Ring Developer FromSoftware Reportedly Recruiting for New Projects

Game developer FromSoftware posted a recruitment list on their website looking for workers on “new projects.”

According to a report from IGN Japan and a post on FromSoftware’s official website, the developer behind Elden Ring listed several new job positions. This announcement comes barely a month after FromSoftware released its latest hit title, Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon. The website also announced that the information sessions for applicants will begin on November 30, and training sessions will be held between December 4 – 15.

Available Jobs At FromSoftware

The jobs listed on the website are for various positions and departments within FromSoftware. These include designers, graphic artists, various programmers, production leads, PR members, VFX artists, server engineers, and many others. Because this initiative includes a few dozen positions in virtually every department, it can be deduced that the company has massive plans going forward. As such, holding a hiring initiative on this scale shows that the company is planning on expanding its production scale as a developer.

Given the massive success of both Elden Ring and Armored Core in the past year, it makes sense that the company would become ambitious for its future. In a way, this news can be seen as a breath of fresh air to the waves of layoffs that have plagued the game industry for the past few months. While FromSoftware released this massive list of jobs, they did not give any information about what their next game would be. The only other project from FromSoftware announced at the moment is the upcoming Elden Ring DLC titled Shadow of the Erdtree.

How the Saddest Fight in the Dark Souls Franchise Broke Player’s Hearts

As has been shown by FromSoftware since its success with Dark Souls, the developer is fully capable of using a similar formula to start a new franchise. The three examples are the Feudal Japan-themed Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, the gothic horror Bloodborne, and the open world epic Elden Ring. While no on knows if the upcoming titles are part of the Soulsborne series or even what kind of game they are at all, FromSoftware proved that they can create a good title from anything.

Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon is available for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
