Stumble Guys Adds SpongeBob SquarePants in New Game Collab

Stumble Guys invited the beloved residents of Bikini Bottom for a SpongeBob SquarePants collaboration event.

The trailer for Stumble Guys‘ crossover with Nickelodeon’s massively popular animated television series gives fans a peek into what the ongoing event has to offer. The promotional video features the titular yellow sponge in Stumble Guys form racing across Bikini Bottom alongside several fan-favorite characters, such as Squidward Tentacles, Sandy Cheeks and Patrick Star.

Players can take SpongeBob and his friends to the track by purchasing their character skin from the in-game store, which also features Stumbler skins for other classic SpongeBob SquarePants inhabitants. This includes Goofy Goober, Mrs. Puff, Mr. Krabs and even a Krabby Patty. The event further implemented the “Don’t Be Jelly” level, a new Bikini Bottom-themed map for players to traverse. The track features all-new hazards and familiar landmarks inspired by the source material, such as the Jellyfish Fields, Krusty Krab and the Airport Lighthouse. The patch notes further advised players to keep an eye out for bubbles throughout the map, which leads to alternative routes or shortcuts for the quick-thinking Stumbler.

SpongeBob SquarePants Dives Into Stumble Guys

Stumble Guys is a multiplayer battle royal obstacle racing video game, wherein 32 players are dropped onto a track to compete over who can survive a gauntlet of minigames and cross the finish line with the fastest time. Stumble Guys additionally offers over 30 playable maps at the time of writing, with various levels and game modes. Update 0.60 also added the Stumble Workshop feature, which gives content creators a way to design and share their custom maps with their viewers. Custom maps are notably available across all platforms, meaning maps made on mobile will be available to download on PC and vice versa.

Created by Stephen Hillenburg, SpongeBob SquarePants is an animated comedy TV series centering on the daily life of the titular yellow sponge and his antics throughout the underwater city of Bikini Bottom. The show debuted back in 1999 and has since become one of the most popular animated IPs of all time, with 14 seasons and over 200 episodes released at the time of writing. Season 14 is also currently airing on Nickelodeon, with Season 15 already in production and set to premiere in 2024 in conjunction with the series’ 25th anniversary celebration.

Stumble Guys is available to play for free on iOS, Android and PC. Spongebob Squarepants’ 15th season has yet to receive an official release date.
